How to Play Playoff Fantasy Football
The Second Season offers users two unique ways to play postseason fantasy football.
Stack your lineup with any number of players from any number of playoff teams. Think the Broncos are a shoe-in for the title? Want Manning, Moreno, Demaryius, Decker, Julius and Prater on your team? This is the option for you. But remember, putting all your eggs in a basket is high risk, high reward!
Choosing this option means you can only pick one player from each of the 12 playoff teams. This method makes it so you always have a shot at the title since everyone in your league will always have the same number of active players. So think about who comes up big in the playoffs, and ride him to a league title!
2014 The Second Season Football Playoff Challenge Settings
Welcome to the 2014 TheSecondSeason.com Football Playoff Challenge where you can experience the excitement of postseason fantasy football! As a team owner, you will pick a team of players who you think will collect the most Fantasy Points throughout the playoffs. Points are based on the statistics players accumulate during the playoffs. You'll build a team of twelve (12) players. Once first playoff game kicks off, your roster is locked. Depending on which league option you choose, your roster gets slimmed down as teams are eliminated. Your challenge is to pick players whose teams you believe will continue playing all the way to the finals. The challenge will begin on January 4, 2014 and run through the Super Bowl.
The Football Playoff Challenge is FREE to play for the entire season! No purchase or entry fee necessary to enter or win.
The Second Season ("SS") will serve as the Administrator of the Football Playoff Challenge and will be responsible for resolving any disputes that arise regarding violations of the settings or anything else that may come up.
The Challenge is open to persons who are: (a) Registered Users; (b) legal residents of one (1) of the fifty (50) United States, Washington DC, or Canada (excluding Quebec) (for purposes of clarity, Puerto Rico is expressly excluded); and (c) at least eighteen (18) years of age or age of majority, whichever is older in their state of residence, or older at the date of registration in the Challenge.
For purposes of these Official Settings, "Registered User" means a person who has successfully completed the registration form and has obtained a User Identification ("Email Address") and associated password ("Password") on TheSecondSeason.com.
If you are not a Registered User you may become a Registered User and obtain an ID and a Password by completing the Second Season registration form by going here on TheSecondSeason.com. There is no fee or charge to become a Registered User.
Registered Users can sign up any time up to 5 minutes before kickoff on Januray 4, 2014 by visiting the TheSecondSeason.com website. Registered Users are not eligible to register once the playoffs have started, and your team will only earn points if you sign up and fill your roster before the first playoff game. No retroactive points will be awarded.
Setting Your Lineup
There are four (4) playoff rounds total during the Football Playoff Challenge. Prior to the first round of the playoffs, you will choose a roster of twelve (12) players. There is no draft, each owner will be able to hand pick their roster. You will not be able to change your lineup once the playoffs begins. Once the playoffs start your lineup locks for the remainder of the Football Playoff Challenge.
Prior to the opening round, the pool of available football players will be selected by each owner and submitted to the Administrator. You can keep track of your team during the course of the playoffs, and the Administrator will update point totals at the end of each playoff game.
